Creation and Editing
We use SolidWorks to create new 3D digital representations of your concept, or to convert any preexisting design into a manufacturable one. SolidWorks supports every relevant 3D model file type, and we can export to any platform whether destined for manufacturing or video game development. Each and every idea can be made digitally possible.
Full Featured 3D Modeling
SolidWorks has a vast toolset capable of creating surface and solid bodied 3D elements on plane or with complex compound curves which form its 3D geometry. These tools include Bossing & Cutting, Mirroring & Patterning, Hole & Fasteners Design, Sheet Metal and Forming Tools, Weldments for Extrusion, Injection Mold Tools, a comprehensive set of Evaluation tools and more.
Our fully dimensioned 3D models are built at life-size 1:1 scale, and SolidWorks' dynamic workflow allows editability and updatability during all design phases at any level: parts, assemblies, drawing documents and data tables. We can also create configurations of a product or design for different styles, features, builds or other variations. Our 3D workflow uses revision control to save designs during stages of the development.
Creation and Editing
Any SolidWorks part or assembly file can have corresponding 2D drawings created. Based on the properties of the 3D build, drawings can include materials, notes, annotations, feature dimensions and other details. Drawings are useful for overall review & presentation of a completed or in-progress work, and best of all, dynamically update when any edits are made in the 3D model.
Display and Functionality
At any angle or scale, there are numerous ways to display your design with SolidWorks drawings. These include standard model projections, auxiliary, section, detail, break, cropped, exploded or broken-out section views. We can display other data generated from the 3D model in the drawing views as well, such as Balloon callouts, Surface Finish, Weld Symbols, Hole Callouts, Bill of Materials, and custom property tables.
Prepare 3D Assets
The ultimate project deserves an ultimate presentation, and for this we typically use the Unreal Engine. It has real-time rendering ability, movie quality cameras and cinematics, physically based material creation, and the ability to program functionality using any 2D or 3D elements. While this process requires time and technique, the final results are only limited to your imagination.
Textures and Materials
Any seamless 2D texture can be applied to any 3D model creation. Using MODO we can create perfect UVs to control the topology of the 2D graphic, equally distributing its appearance throughout its mesh element. Along with layering these textures on the 3D, the underlying materials from within Unreal Engine are physically-based in their composition, meaning known real-world values for metals, plastics and other materials can be used in the appearances of the 3D production for added realism.
Video and Export
Once a project has reached its goal in functionality and appearance using the Unreal Engine, we can package it up for you to use as a prototype presentation for Virtual or Augmented Reality, or we can create a video animation presenting the product inside and out using a cinematic approach for the audience to grasp the concept.

GrabCAD is an easy way to manage and share CAD files and gain access to a 3D print network. We helped beta-test their Workbench which is now a full-featured collaboration solution that accelerates product development for everyone involved: designers, engineers, clients, partners, and even manufacturers.
We joined GrabCAD back in June of 2012. Along with sponsored monthly design challenges and web-based tutorials, it's a collective community of interesting designers and engineers from around the world, and a great spot to broaden any horizon in CAD or engineering. Between the two of us, and together as a team, we have a unique combination of skills and experience. We have worked with companies small and large, our talents being applied to many different roles: metalworking, rack computer building, R&D and invention, management, and practically anything with digital development from graphic & web design to video game asset production.
Our Facebook page is one of the first places we share our public creations and designs using SolidWorks, MODO, KeyShot, and the Unreal Engine software. We also engage with similar Facebook pages.
For fun design collaborations, we also upload the 'best of' renderings or animations for the shared project to entice our followers. Although Facebook is somewhat limited when it comes to having a 3D model embedded or formatting a project dossier, you will see renderings, animations, and the quick links to acquire our newly shared 3D models or to get involved.
